In December we travelled to 16 towns around the Western Cape, speaking to local communities as part of our campaign for 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children.
At this time of year, as the festive season approaches, our thoughts turn to those who are less fortunate than ourselves, who may not have the money to celebrate Christmas and enjoy the December holidays.
After getting to know the women we work with in South Africa’s impoverished communities, we discovered that many of them aren’t able to drive, and don’t have their learner’s or driver’s licenses.
The Susters4Life team got some exciting news this month. Our co-founder Reneé Thompson has been selected for a place in Apolitical Academy’s Public Service Fellowship in Southern Africa.
Susters4Life has received a generous donation of soap from Angelique, the owner of Candle Deli.
Throughout our Women’s Month 2018 programme, the Susters4Life team spent time with women from some of South Africa’s most impoverished communities.
As women’s month comes to an end, we thank everyone who allowed us into their spaces, hearts and lives.
How would you like to join #Susters4life on 15 September in Franschoek for a Wellness Retreat organized by the fit and fabulous @bfit_cpt & @uba90daywellnesschallenge?
Susters4Life will be closing its Women’s Month Programme at the Worcester House of Hope. The workshop will again be facilitated by Claudia Roodt, who is featured in this month’s Juig magazine.
